NC Repeats! We’re #1!
Our group of NC library advocates was recognized for the second year in a row for having the most delegates out of ALL FIFTY STATES to attend library legislative day in Washington, D.C.!
We’ll be meeting with NC legislators all day tomorrow, trying to convince them of what we all already know:
Libraries change lives!
Libraries mean business!
Libraries build community!
Libraries are a smart investment!
Leaving for DC Tomorrow!
Hello Library Advocates,
Tomorrow morning a group of NC Library advocates is leaving for Washington DC to talk with legislators and their aides about supporting the public libraries of North Carolina. We will be using the stories collected on this site as well as the support we’ve gotten through our social media sites as our main ammunition for convincing the legislators of the importance of NC Public Libraries. With this being said, if you have a story to tell about the public library in your county, or if you haven’t friended us on Facebook, please do it! The more support we have the better!
Thanks for all the support you have already given. Look for the video presentation we will be showing legislators to be posted tonight.
Cordially,
Brandon Lewter
How do LIBRARIES BUILD COMMUNITY?
Dear library friends,
It is time to start speaking directly to your legislators. As we have only three days before our trip to D.C. we are asking that you tell our legislators what you think about the impact of libraries. We will be directing them to our FB page and this Web site so they can read quotes DIRECTLY FROM YOU.
In your opinion, how do LIBRARIES BUILD COMMUNITY? Post your responses below.

We will be directing them to our FB page and this Web site so they can read quotes DIRECTLY FROM YOU.
Here’s the first one. In your opinion, how do LIBRARIES CHANGE LIVES? Post your responses below.
