Win a trip to Washington, D.C.!
The 7th Annual North Carolina Library Association’s Student Library Ambassador Program is underway! Each year NCLA invites North Carolina students to help advocate for libraries with members of congress and grand prize winners will join them in Washington, D.C. for National Library Legislative Day. We are seeking one k-12 or college student from each of North Carolina’s 13 congressional districts to serve as advocates by showing their love and support of libraries. The top three rated entry winners will win a trip to Washington, D.C.!
Submissions are due by January 31, 2021.
All 13 student ambassadors will receive a free t-shirt, framed certificate, be profiled on our website, and meet with their members of congress in person, in their local offices in NC to discuss the importance of libraries.
All submissions should answer the following questions:
- Why are libraries important to you and your classmates?
- How have libraries impacted you personally?
- How are libraries important to the future of North Carolina?
Any format or type is accepted including essays, poems, videos, skits, etc.
