Get to know Jordan…
“I’m in my junior year at a local early/middle college program and I’m hoping to graduate with a complete associate’s degree. I was raised here in NC but I was actually born in Anchorage, Alaska. My dream job is to be a journalist in the US Air Force, and my writing has already been published in two anthologies.”

Where is your home library and what do you love about it?
“My home library is the High Point Public Library. I think my favorite thing about my library is that everything is arranged neatly and they always have new materials so that I can get my hands on brand new materials.”

Favorite Librarian?
“To Pam at the High Point Public Library: Thank you for being one of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. I always enjoy working with you and our conversations never fail to bring a smile to my face!”

What do you want legislators to know about libraries?
“I want legislators to know that libraries are crucial to the development of children no matter their race or their age. Libraries offer a sanctuary to people who might not have access to their own, and the books they hold have the ability to transport readers to a different world.”
