A Hard Situation Made Better- Ashe County Public Library (Ashe County)

This story is about Mary, a nine year old Guardian ad Litem child, who was scheduled to appear in court.

Her Guardian wanted to prepare the child for her court appearance and needed help.

Library staff located age appropriate books and a website to help the child understand and prepare.

For a child in a tough situation, the comfort in understanding the court room process was immeasurable. The Guardian was very grateful and planned to share the resources with other members in the Guardian ad Litem program.
