Jessica is a teen that visits a community branch regularly and recently quit her job.
Jessica approached Library Associate II Kohnee Harmon and explained that she had quit her job because she wasn’t getting many hours.
Harmon explained to her that at certain times of the year, business gets slow and employers tend to cut employee hours until business picks back up, then increase employee hours as needed. Harmon encouraged the teen to talk to her manager to see if she could get her job back since she had a good work record. The teen said that her mother had told her the exact same thing.
The next week Jessica returned to share the good news with Harmon that she talked with her employer and was rehired.
