Here is an economic impact story coming from Harold D. Cooley Library in Nash County, NC (District 2).
Ms. Jones is a member of the community who came to the library daily. She was unemployed and would look and apply for jobs online every day in an ongoing effort to find employment. Staff assisted her in resume building efforts and showed her how to attach the resume to an application. Ms. Jones has since been back to let us know she has been offered a position thanks to the online application she submitted at the library. Libraries change lives
