Clarence is a senior citizen and a regular patron at Robbins Area Library in Moore County. He loves writing and art and has checked out some of the same books on these subjects over and over.
Although he had been writing for years, Clarence had never had anything published.
Knowing his interest in poetry, a staff member suggested to Clarence that he enter a statewide poetry contest sponsored by Campbell University.
Two of Clarence’s poems were published in Campbell University’s annual literary magazine “The Lyricist.” He proudly brought the magazine to Robbins LIbrary to show the staff member who had encouraged him to enter.
