James, a member of the production staff for the movie The Hunger Games, came to the Carolina Room at the Hickory Public Library to seek information about the Henry River Mill Village which is featured in the film.
Library staff provided information on the history of the Henry River Mill Village, and that led to the location being used in the film. Because of this, tourism in the area has increased significantly which has led to a boost in the local economy.
