Our children are so bombarded with television, video games, and the like, that programs such as Story Time, which develop a love for reading and knowledge, are simply invaluable. Our 3-year-old daughter, Sally, squeals with excitement when I tell her it’s Tuesday, for she knows Tuesday means Story Time with Miss Jeannie. She has come to know Miss Jeannie as her friend that reads to her and teaches her how to make and/or do something new at every Story Time. Did you know that there are about 250 species of turtles? My three-year-old does! It is such a pleasure to watch the various aged children sit enthralled by the stories and become a part of it. It’s no wonder that our once small group has grown so large. Just imagine the possibilities!
