image1The Importance of a Library
“As a child I was inspired to read and learn at the library, that feeling of inspiration was not sparked by a particular author or book, this feeling was sparked by the phenomenal atmosphere of learning that a library has. This atmosphere is not present when you type in a
question for google or buy a book of Amazon, this atmosphere cannot be recreated.” (excerpt)

My name is Shreeya More. I am from Cary, North Carolina. I enjoy spending my time reading, singing, volunteering and painting. I volunteer at the Eva Perry Regional Library weekly through the Teen Leadership Corps and occasionally volunteer at Horse and Buddy (a therapeutic riding facility). At school I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Blue Notes (our school choir). I enjoy making a difference in my school and community and love to empower those around me. During eighth grade I helped organize a school walkout to honor the victims of the Parkland Shooting and I believe in bringing positive changes to my community through such actions. I am now a rising ninth grader and I look forward to becoming a part of my new school, Panther Creek High.
