Hi! I am Gigi Waugh and I am in the 2nd Grade at Hardin Park Elementary School, in Boone, N.C. I have a sister, Andie, who is 13 and also goes to Hardin Park and enjoys playing travel soccer. My Mom and Dad both work at Appalachian State University. I also have a dog, cat and bunny.
I enjoy dance, reading, drawing and painting, playing guitar, putting together Legos and sometimes hiking and canoeing with my family. Last summer my sister and I had horseback riding lessons, and I won a blue ribbon in a horse show. I also like shopping! I have written some songs and my sister and I enjoy making videos.
We had a lot of fun making this video about libraries, and I am really excited about traveling to Washington, D. C., because I have never been there. I am hoping we get to see the White House when we are there.
I am very thankful for this opportunity to represent my school and North Carolina during National Library Legislative Days in Washington, D.C.!
